Personal care is far more than cleanliness – it is relationship, perception, health promotion and a sensitive intrusion into privacy. In 12 modules, this course (approx. 12 teaching units of 45 minutes each) covers professional, dignified and activating personal care: from goals and resource orientation through dignity, privacy and self-determination, skin observation and skin protection, full body and partial washes and oral, dental and denture care to activating care and Basal Stimulation, dealing with special situations (being bedridden, dementia), back-friendly working and documentation. Each module offers learning objectives, a well-founded learning text, an in-depth section, a case study and a transfer-to-practice exercise. At the end: self-reflection, checklists and confirmation of participation. The course does not replace practical instruction but provides its foundation.
