Learning that works in social practice
GermanSocialLab is a digital learning platform from Ludwigshafen, Germany, for people working in social work, education and care. The International Academy explains German standards in English – research-based, practical and flexible.
Why we exist
Professionals in social work, education and care work under high pressure: growing caseloads, limited resources and increasing legal and digital requirements. More and more of them come from abroad and need to understand the German system quickly. High-quality learning that fits into everyday work is often hard to find. We develop self-study courses that are well founded and can be applied directly at work.
How we teach
What we stand for
- Transparent sources – traceable content instead of claims.
- Up to date – German law (for example the Social Code, SGB) and professional debate are checked regularly.
- German terms explained – key German words are kept and explained, so you can work in German-speaking teams.
- Confirmation of participation – for every course after working through all modules.
- Data protection – GDPR-compliant and hosted in Germany.
Who we work for
Care and nursing, early childhood education (Kita), child and youth welfare, disability support, students and trainees – and institutions that welcome staff from abroad.
Self-study without supervision, assignments or assessment of learning progress by instructors. Live seminars, consulting and coaching are separate services and not part of the flat rate.
