Day-care centres (Kitas) process highly sensitive data every day – from addresses and allergies to developmental reports and photos of the children. Data protection is therefore not a bureaucratic obstacle but child and family protection in practice. This comprehensive course (approx. 16 teaching units of 45 minutes each) guides you through the whole field in 12 modules, in a practical and well-founded way: fundamentals and legal framework (GDPR, BDSG, social data under SGB VIII/X), the six basic principles of Art. 5, legal bases and consent, the perennial issue of photos and portfolios, the rights of data subjects, technical and organisational security in everyday practice, the disclosure of data to the youth welfare office (Jugendamt), doctors and school, the right conduct in the event of a data breach, and the roles of controller, processor and data protection officer. Each module offers learning objectives, sound learning text with visualisations, an In depth section, a Case study and a Transfer-to-practice exercise. Note: training offer for competence development, not individual legal advice.
