Withdrawal Policy
Last updated: 1 November 2026
Consumers have a right of withdrawal in accordance with the following provisions. A consumer is any natural person who enters into a legal transaction for purposes that are predominantly outside their trade, business or self-employed profession (section 13 German Civil Code, BGB).
Right of withdrawal
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day of the conclusion of the contract.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us (Fatih Açık, GermanSocialLab, Rheinallee 12, 67061 Ludwigshafen am Rhein, Germany, phone: +49 176 82418304, email: info@germansociallab.com) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or an email). You may use the attached model withdrawal form, but it is not obligatory.
You can also exercise your right of withdrawal online at https://germansociallab.com/local/gslseo/vertrag.php?art=widerruf (button “Withdraw from contract here” in the footer of every page; on the German-language pages: “Vertrag widerrufen”). If you use this online feature, we will send you an acknowledgement of receipt of the withdrawal on a durable medium (e.g. by email), including its content and the date and time of its submission, without undue delay.
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
If you requested to begin the performance of services during the withdrawal period, you shall pay us an amount which is in proportion to what has been provided until you have communicated to us your withdrawal from this contract, in comparison with the full coverage of the contract.
Special notes
Digital content (self-study courses, e-learning flat rate): For a contract for the supply of digital content which is not supplied on a tangible medium, your right of withdrawal expires once we have begun performance of the contract after you
1. have expressly consented to our beginning performance of the contract before the end of the withdrawal period,
2. have acknowledged that by giving this consent you lose your right of withdrawal once performance begins, and
3. we have provided you with a confirmation of the contract, including your consent and acknowledgement, on a durable medium (e.g. email) (section 356(6) no. 2 BGB).
If these conditions are not met, the right of withdrawal continues for the entire withdrawal period.
Should the e-learning flat rate (twelve months of access to the self-study library) be classified not as digital content but as a digital service, the following note on services applies to it instead and, in the event of withdrawal, the paragraph on the reasonable amount under “Effects of withdrawal”.
Services (live online seminars, specialist conference days, consultation, coaching, supervision): For a contract for the provision of services which obliges you to pay a price, the right of withdrawal expires when we have fully performed the service and only began performance after you gave your express consent and, at the same time, acknowledged that you lose your right of withdrawal once we have fully performed the contract (section 356(5) no. 2 BGB).
Business customers: There is no statutory right of withdrawal for contracts with business customers (e.g. team access booked by organisations or providers in the course of their professional activity).
Consumers outside the EU: We contractually grant the above right of withdrawal to all consumers to the same extent, irrespective of their habitual residence (e.g. in Switzerland or the United Kingdom). Any further-reaching mandatory rights under the law of their country of residence remain unaffected.
