Quality is not a matter of chance but the result of stance and systems. This course (approx. 10 teaching units of 45 minutes each) shows in 12 modules how nursing care quality arises and is steered: from the concept of quality (structural, process and outcome quality according to Donabedian) through the legal framework (Social Code Book XI (SGB XI), quality inspections) and the national expert standards of the DNQP to QM instruments (standards, audits, key figures), the PDCA cycle, quality indicators, the MD inspection and a constructive culture of error and complaint handling. Each module offers learning objectives, a well-founded text, an in-depth section, a case study and a transfer-to-practice exercise. At the end: self-reflection, checklists and confirmation of participation. The course understands QM not as bureaucracy, but as a tool for good care.
Course aims:
- Apply the concept of quality (structure, process, outcome) with confidence
- Place the legal framework of nursing care quality (SGB XI) in context
- Understand and implement the national expert standards of the DNQP
- Use QM instruments and the PDCA cycle in everyday practice
- Understand quality indicators and the MD inspection/quality presentation
- Support a constructive culture of error and complaint handling
Self-study without supervision, assignments or assessment of learning progress by instructors; the voluntary self-reflection is for your own orientation only. Your confirmation of participation becomes available once you have marked all modules as done yourself.
